Known Facts: The creator of the first constructed Metal Gear, Petrovich was forced by Big Boss into creating the Metal Gear (TX-55), he was responsible for the mechanics of the legs and the actual AI of the machine, the rest being directed by Big Boss. Solid Snake rescues Petrovich and his daughter Elen from Outer Heaven and then destroys Metal Gear. 4 years later however Dr. Petrovich then rejoins Big Boss's cause and helps create the 2nd version Metal Gear D at Zanzibar Land. Dr. Petrovich attacks Dr. Kio Marv for the technical specs for Oilix. Knowing that Snake has the key to Dr. Marv's locker, he proceeds to strangle Snake from behind while trying to acquire it, shortly after. Snake succeeds in killing Dr. Petrovich, using his Remote Control Missile launcher. In his dying breath, Dr. Petrovich tells Snake how to destroy Metal Gear D, but why?
